Fees and Insurance

Fees:

Initially, I offer a brief, complimentary initial phone consultation.  You can contact me via email or phone to make an appointment for this consultation. This is an opportunity to discuss any questions or concerns you might have.  After this initial phone call, if we decide that I am the right therapist to meet your needs, we will set up a time to meet for an initial assessment. For my private pay clients, I charge $150/hour and accept cash, check, and credit cards.

I accept the following insurance policies and file a claim on your behalf:

  • BEACON/Alameda Alliance
  • Cigna
  • Medi-care
  • MHN

Other Insurances:

I would be happy to generate a billing statement that you can forward to your insurance company if you have insurance coverage and would like to seek reimbursement. Many health insurance plans will reimburse for treatment provided by a licensed psychologist. However, plans vary widely, and you are responsible for determining your insurance benefits and obtaining reimbursement. Please note, that I will not bill your insurance directly if they are not Alameda Alliance, Cigna, Medi-care, or MHN.

Cancellations and Missed Appointments:

If an appointment is missed or cancelled, for any reason, without 24 hours notice, you will be charged for the session.  Please be aware that insurance companies will not generally reimburse for a missed session.
