Specialty Areas

I provide a type of therapy known as acceptance and commitment therapy (ACT) and cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT) for all the clients I work with, regardless of specialty area. My clients include adults suffering from anxiety, depression, trauma, or other mental health issues. CBT and ACT both examine the relationships between thoughts, feelings, and behaviors and offer awareness, skills, and motivation to discard inaccurate, unhelpful narratives, build emotional resiliency, and focus on what matters to you. Once these relationships are understood, you can better understand how and why you perceive situations in certain ways and change how you relate to ineffective thoughts (e.g. stories you’ve told yourself) as well as acting in ways reflective of your principles and goals.

My clinical experience includes but is not limited to the following areas:

  • Anxiety

  • Depression

  • Perinatal and Postpartum Distress

  • Motherhood

  • Trauma

  • And other issues, including difficult transitions, finding your identity, motivation problems, attention difficulties, and relationship difficulties
